Board 30

let's band together

Theresa Rudel Owner, BOARD30 Studio

I have been in fitness my whole life. From growing up doing gymnastics and dance, to group sports, running, cycling, bodybuilding, and triathlons - movement is in my family. I have enjoyed climbing 38 of the 14'ers in Colorado over the last 15 years with my husband. I started teaching group fitness and then went into personal training, which I have been doing for the last 20 years. I enjoy sharing my love for healthy lifestyles and physical well-being with people, and bringing the athlete out in everyone. I believe that with a positive attitude and an uplifting energy toward life, good things will come your way. This came true for me when I found BOARD30. As soon as I stepped onto the BodyBoard I could not get enough of it. I knew it would be a perfect fit for Fort Collins.

Pamela Simmons-Lee

At the start of my fitness journey, I gravitated towards running regularly and competing in races ranging from 5K's to 50K’s. I regularly cross train on a road bike, incorporate functional training and yoga.

Being a spouse of twenty plus years, mom of three children, a volunteer with SAVA (Sexual Assault Victims Advocacy), National Charity League, CPR/AED certified and now instructing on the BOARD30 BodyBoard; fitness is as present and enjoyable in my life as it was at the start.

Abby Powell

Abbey Powel

Abby is a RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) who discovered her love of yoga while recovering from an injury in late 2019. Her passion for yoga evolved out of a passion for running; she ran competitively for ten years before deciding to focus on balancing exercise with gentle and mindful movement. She strives to spread positivity and optimism through teaching yoga with her personal life philosophy, “all you need is love”, inspired by the famous Beatles song. She still loves to run when she can along with hiking, biking, and getting outside whenever possible! When she is not exercising or practicing yoga, she likes to spend time with her friends, read, and listen to music.

Abby is originally from Southern California and moved out to Fort Collins last year to start attending Colorado State where she studies International Studies and French, with a minor in Women’s Studies.

Svannah Freestone

Savannah Freestone

Fitness and athletics have always been a huge part of my life. I competed in a variety of team sports growing up and ultimately dedicated myself to volleyball year-round through high school into college. I then took my love for the game to coaching both club and high school volleyball for four years.

Being a coach gave me a new perspective on fitness and a greater appreciation for the dedication people have to strengthening their minds and bodies. I am passionate about developing relationships and being able to help people achieve their goals. Board30 was my first positive experience with group classes. I immediately fell in love with the community and culture they have created and that is why I became a certified Board30 instructor!
